Dr Jim Lie

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Background

In 1983, our young family moved from Sydney to Albany to be closer to my wife’s parents. Dr. Mark Zafir and I took over The Surgery from Drs. Carol and David Jeffs. As the practice quickly grew, we relocated from Angove Road to our current premises in 1991.

We embraced the role of traditional country family doctors, caring for individuals and families from birth to end of life. Over the years, my children have grown, we now have grandchildren, and I am semi-retired. While much has changed, the commitment to patient care remains the same. I still see patients when needed while I’m in town.

Fun Fact

You don’t have to visit The Surgery to find me—I can occasionally be spotted attempting to play the French horn at various venues around Albany or, more rarely, trying to ride my bicycle.
